Buckwild Star Shain Gandee Dead After Off-Roading Accident At 21

The hunt for popular Buckwild star Shain Gandee ended in sadness this morning when the twenty-one-year-old’s body was discovered alongside two others, including his uncle, inside a vehicle in Sissonville, West Virginia. The details of how exactly the men crashed their Ford Bronco is unclear, but the three reportedly told patrons at a local bar early on Sunday morning that they were planning to go off-roading. When none of the men returned home by the next morning, they were reported missing and search parties began checking dirt roads in the surrounding areas.

The kids from MTV’s Buckwild haven’t exactly offered up the best press since the reality show debuted, but by all accounts, most of the stars were good, affable kids doing the best they could. Shain, in particular, was one of the more popular members of the cast, a hit with both MTV fans and his peers.

We won’t know any specifics concerning whether the men were on a dangerous course or whether drinking was involved until a full investigation is conducted by the police, but regardless of what those findings tell us, they won’t change the fact that three men are dead. Good people are now missing fathers, sons, husbands, friends and a network is missing one of its reality stars.

Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to the families of the victims, as well as everyone else touched by Shain’s life. Here’s to hoping something good comes out of this devastating loss.
