Johnny Depp And Vanessa Paradis Call It Quits

In his younger days, Johnny Depp’s personal life was a source of gossip. The actor co-owned The Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, and at various points, was engaged to/ and or had long relationships with Jennifer Grey, Sherilyn Fenn, Winona Ryder and Kate Moss. In 1998, Depp met French actress Vanessa Paradis, and the two began dating almost immediately. Two children and a quiet, loving fourteen-year-relationship followed, but unfortunately, it seems that commitment formally ended earlier this week.

The actor’s representative confirmed the split to E! News, but beyond revealing the break-up was amicable and asking for privacy, the statement didn’t really get into any real details. Rumors of a possible separation have followed the couple in recent months, but given how long they were together, most brushed off the whispers as nothing of substance.

According to People, Depp and Paradis began living separately around the start of the new year but tried for months to figure out a way to make the relationship work. Clearly, their efforts proved to be in vain, but with any luck, they’ll still continue working together for the benefit of their children: Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 9.

It’s really sad to see two people who clearly loved each other part ways, but Pop Blend wishes them nothing but the best in their new lives apart. The kids will always bind them together, but here’s to hoping each is able to find fulfilling relationships down the line.
