We already knew Ryan Lochte was living it up this week in Las Vegas, but what we didn’t know was British Royalty was headed to the warm and sunny digs to join the Olympian. True to his partying character, Prince Harry hopped over to Vegas after fulfilling a charity obligation in San Diego, joining Lochte and his crew of friends in the city of sin for some late-night partying, and even later, a race to remember.

Around 3 a.m. on Monday, the 27-year-old prince hopped into the water at the Wynn hotel’s XS Nightclub pool and moved through the pool, mingling, until he reached Lochte’s group. According to The New York Daily News, Prince Harry was still wearing his jeans when he hopped in the pool, which is probably not the best thing to be wearing when deciding to race a world-renowned swimmer. After hanging out in the pool for a while, the two decided to compete in a breaststroke competition.

Lochte actually got to count down the beginning of the race, so he had a bit of an edge, and unsurprisingly, he blew ahead of Prince Harry when the race began. Although the prince has a major interest in athletics, the scene is a familiar one. A few months back, the young man had a fake race with the crazy fast Olympian Usain Bolt, where the prince sprinted and Bolt took a jog. It’s clear he enjoys the thrill more than the chance to beat a better athlete, so there’s certainly no harm or foul in having the races. Hopefully, in the next few months he will even give a few more faux competitions a shot.

Personally, I just want to see Prince Harry attempt some gymnastics with Gabby Douglas.
