Numbers fans have likely already noticed that today is 12/12/12, which is an interesting date by its numbers alone. 12-12-12 also happens to be part of the title for the concert for Sandy relief, which is airing on numerous channels tonight. And will feature performances by the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Roger Waters, Eddie Vedder, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney.

It's the former Beatles singer/songwriter who's featured in the video below. McCartney speaks about the devastation Sandy has caused and his interest in helping those who are suffering.

Presented by CHASE, 12-12-12: The Concert For Sandy Relief benefits the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which has launched a large-scale relief effort to help people in the tri-state area who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. Given that the weather is getting colder and the holidays are upon us, those who have lost their homes due to the hurricane likely need more help than ever. According to 121212Concert.org, all of the money from ticket purchases and donations will go to " the best community organizations serving the victims of Hurricane Sandy through the Robin Hood Relief Fund."

HBO recently posted this teaser for the concert, which is airing on the premium cable channel tonight.

HBO isn't the only channel carrying the concert. Far from it, in fact. 12-12-12: The Concert For Sandy Relief will be broadcast on AMC, IFC, Showtime 2, Encore, ION, MSG, Hallmark and FEARnet, among numerous other channels. It'll also be available streaming online at Hulu, Crackle, EW.com, People.com and AOL, and a number of other websites.
