White Rabbit Project Trailer: Netflix's New Series Starring The Fired Mythbusters Build Team Looks Great
Mythbusters was a huge hit of a series for Discovery, and it almost certainly wouldn't have lasted for as long as it did if not for The Build Team of Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara running their own sets of wild experiments alongside hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman. The Build Team was unfortunately booted from Mythbusters in 2014, but the trio has stuck together and will star in their very own Netflix series, called White Rabbit Project. The trailer for White Rabbit Project has hit the web, and it looks pretty awesome. Check it out!
Let's be 100% honest: White Rabbit Project looks like a Build Team spinoff of Mythbusters, so anybody hoping that the new show would take Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara in a brand new direction might be a little disappointed. For those of us who have spent the past couple of years missing their shenanigans during episodes of Mythbusters, however, the White Rabbit Project trailer couldn't be more exciting.
White Rabbit Project will feature the Build Team trio playing with cutting edge technology, offbeat weapons, and crazy toys as they use science to try and prove the impossible. Tory, Kari, and Grant will also rank some of the greatest inventions and heists from throughout history, and it looks like they'll get pretty creative in doing it. If the trailer is anything to go by, these brainiacs haven't lost their chemistry or humor as a group.
Although they frequently worked with hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara were always a distinct unit on Mythbusters. The new show just might not have felt right if all three members hadn't signed on as stars. Each of the three brought a unique personality and set of skills to their dynamic on Mythbusters. I know I'm glad that they'll be back as a team for White Rabbit Project, especially now that the Mythbusters mothership has come to an end on Discovery.
Luckily, we won't have to wait much longer before we get a first look at The Build Team in action on their own show. The entire first season of White Rabbit Project will be available on Netflix starting Friday, December 9.
