The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik Wonders If She And Jim Parsons Look Alike In New Pic

Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler are still newlyweds as The Big Bang Theory Season 12 closes out the series. They got married in the Season 11 finale, and Season 12 started with their honeymoon. Will it close with a baby? That's one big question in the air. It's not hard to see what their child might look like, since the actors themselves are starting to look exactly the same. Actress Mayim Bialik showed off her resemblance to Jim Parsons in a new photo:

Awwww. #TimeToGo has me #sad and #misty. Their Big Bang Theory co-stars Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) commented on the photo with hearts. Guest star Danica McKellar weighed in with "Awww, I love this shot!"

But, yeah, Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons could be one of those couples that look the same, dress the same, dress their kids the same, dress their dogs the same, etc. It could get saccharine really fast. But that's not likely for Amy and Sheldon. They do kind of look like siblings here, but the resemblance is less pronounced on the CBS show -- especially since Amy is so much shorter than Sheldon, and her glasses hide the similarities between their eyes.

The Big Bang Theory Season 12 is the final season, as you know, and the stars are feeling nostalgic all over the place. It's finally sinking in that This Is It. Jim Parsons is the one who was ready to pack it in, and he's already said his hilarious goodbyes to the character of Sheldon Cooper, at least off-screen. On screen, the show tapes its final episode on April 30 (which is actually Kunal Nayyar's birthday), and the finale will air across an hour with back-to-back episodes on May 16.

There's a lot of speculation about how the series will end -- with babies, with a flash-forward into the future, with a lead-in for possible spinoffs following other characters? Will the dang elevator finally be fixed? (That's my prediction -- the final shot will be of the elevator finally working.) We know one thing that won't be happening, and one star who is apparently done his scenes for the series, but other than that there are a lot of exciting possibilities.

The Big Bang Theory Season 12 is back for new episodes as of this Thursday, April 4 with Episode 18, "The Laureate Accumulation." After that is Episode 19, "The Inspiration Deprivation" on Thursday, April 18. There are 24 episodes to the season, so we are really getting down to the end. Don't miss what happens as TBBT heads toward the finish line. The comedy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, as one of the many shows winding down from midseason 2019.

Gina Carbone

Gina grew up in Massachusetts and California in her own version of The Parent Trap. She went to three different middle schools, four high schools, and three universities -- including half a year in Perth, Western Australia. She currently lives in a small town in Maine, the kind Stephen King regularly sets terrible things in, so this may be the last you hear from her.
