Cameron Boyce's Father Shares Final Picture Taken Of Disney Star Before His Death

Cameron Boyce in Grown-ups 2

It’s been just a few days since Cameron Boyce tragically passed away at the young age of 20. His father, Victor Boyce, has previously expressed the “pain of the nightmare” of waking up to find your son has passed away.

He’s still grieving, but the support of the fans seems to be helping and Boyce’s father shared a look at the actor, revealing a look at his child taken just a few short hours before his death last weekend.

Accompanying the look at Cameron Boyce at what looks like a restaurant is Victor Boyce’s message for the fans. It reveals that the support from Boyce’s loyal following his death has been a comfort to his family. His lengthy post on Instagram also notes he is a father who is still hurting and who misses his son "terribly." I'd imagine that's a feeling that will stick with Mr. Boyce for some time following the tragic loss of his son.

Losing a family member is always heart-wrenching, but losing a child before you go yourself has to be unimaginable for those of us who have not grieved similarly. For that loss to come so suddenly adds another layer of complexity and sadness to the grieving process.

At the time of Cameron Boyce’s death, it was revealed the actor had been suffering from a medical condition and that medical condition led to a seizure, which ultimately caused the actor’s death. After he was pronounced dead on the scene at his home, an autopsy was pending, but Boyce’s family opened up that it was epilepsy that caused the seizure, seemingly cementing the series of events that led to the actor passing away. They have also said even the process of planning the funeral has been agonizing.

There’s a lot that can be said or written about people being too reactive on social media, but in times of grief, it’s nice to see that fans of Cameron Boyce have been kind, caring and helpful to his father. Most people don’t want to suffer alone.

And Cameron Boyce is certainly not being forgotten. In addition to posts from his father, a slew of former co-stars, public figures and famous names have spoken out about the Descendants and Jessie actor. Some have shared thoughts, including his Grown-ups co-star Adam Sandler, and others have shared images and clips revealing more about who Cameron Boyce the person, rather than the actor, was.

Boyce’s own family said of the actor after he was found unresponsive in his home:

The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.

As it stands, Cameron Boyce’s body of work will live on. He had also already worked on the upcoming Disney Channel project Descendants 3, which is expected to hit the schedule in August of 2019.
