What Crisis On Infinite Earth's First Teaser Just Revealed About The Arrow-verse Crossover

The Monitor Arrow The CW

The CW's "Crisis On Infinite Earths" mega-crossover event is officially a month out, and the network just dropped the first teaser for its Arrow-verse extravaganza. There's already been some pretty insane reveals on what audiences could expect, however, so some may be wondering, what else is there to tease?

Well, some of the stuff shown we already knew about, but there's one thing in particular that's surprising. Watch the trailer, then continue below for more on the team up we're surprised to see happening in this massive event.

That shot of the heroes facing The Monitor is the bit that's freaking some out, mostly because of who is there. All the heroes were to be expected, but who would've thought Jon Cryer's Lex Luthor would be in the mix? Is he really about to be fighting alongside the good guys for real, or is this about the most obvious double-cross the Arrow-verse has teased in a while? Luthor likely has a vested interest in surviving, though he's also always one to seize opportunity. Perhaps his aligning with Supergirl and others shows just how serious this situation is.

As for the guy people may not recognize, that's future Atom Ryan Choi, who will be played by Osric Chau. We then cut to a flash of someone getting destroyed by anti-matter, and while this is only speculation, it looks a lot like Cisco Ramon. Keep in mind, there were rumors of Carlos Valdes leaving The Flash, though the actor later went on to dismiss them. If that's Cisco, is this just some reality that will be over-written, or another gut-wrenching crossover death?

After that we're onto quick shots of heroes like Black Lightning (who will be taking part in his first crossover ever), Brandon Routh's Kingdom Come Superman, and then Oliver, Mia, and Kate all teaming up together. This crossover is absolutely loaded with DC stars past and present, so it wouldn't be surprising if bulk team ups for sections of the crossover are the norm.

All in all, not bad for such a short teaser! Of course, it would've been nice to see Kevin Conroy as the future Bruce Wayne, or maybe Tom Welling suited up as his Superman. Those feel like the type of reveals we'll get for a full trailer of the crossover, which has to be coming sooner than later. As mentioned, we're less than a month out, so it has to be on the way.
