Full Harley Quinn Season 2 Trailer Features New Villains And An Ice Vagina

Harley Quinn DC Universe

While other shows are halting production and unable to premiere more episodes until further notice, one of 2019's most hilarious animated comedies is already returning for Season 2. DC Universe's Harley Quinn is kicking off April with fresh episodes that appear to have more raunch, new villains, and an ice vagina.

If the first look at the new season wasn't any indication, Harley Quinn won't be toning down the irreverence and violence in Season 2. Check out the first full trailer for Season 2, and see Kaley Cuoco's Harley as she continues her ascent to be the number 1 kingpin villain of Gotham City.

Ron Funches' King Shark screaming "It's Beyoncé," following the appearance of new villain Mr. Freeze (Alfred Molina) is the only thing I need to be convinced this sophomore season of Harley Quinn is on the right track. It's also cool to see so many new characters in such a short trailer, as we also got a first look at Catwoman (Sanaa Lathan). There's also all the characters fans still know and love from Season 1, including Poison Ivy's boyfriend Kite Man (hell yeah).

With that said, this trailer for Harley Quinn does appear to tease Ivy and Kite Man may not be a thing all season. There's a brief shot of Harley and Ivy holding hands, which has led to some speculation Season 2 may see the two begin a relationship. This is a romance that has played out in DC comics, but not something Harley Quinn has explored.

Harley Quinn Season 1 got a good deal of acclaim from critics and audiences alike, so the bar for Season 2 may be just a bit higher. Of course, it only benefits Season 2 to come at a time where many shows are halting production, and the available new programming on television is thinning out amongst networks. This could be a great chance for Harley Quinn and DC Universe to gain a larger audience, and potentially save the streaming service from being phased out.

Right now, it's unclear exactly what's in store for DC Universe in the future. The service is sharing quite a few originals with the upcoming HBO Max, which has made some major moves over the past year to ensure it's one of the premiere competitors. For now, DC Universe has retained some original content strictly for its platform, though will soon co-air shows like Doom Patrol and Stargirl alongside HBO Max and The CW. There's speculation that DC Universe or the bulk of its original programming will be dispersed into HBO Max in time, though for now the service is running strong at a time people really need a distraction.

Harley Quinn Season 2 premieres on DC Universe Friday, April 3. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on what's happening on streaming, and for the latest news in movies and television.
