What Jensen Ackles Could Look Like As Soldier Boy In The Boys Season 3

It feels like ages ago when The CW announced that Supernatural would be coming to an end with Season 15, and speculation skyrocketed over what stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles would choose as their next big roles. In January, Padalecki was announced to be taking over Chuck Norris' legacy for a Walker, Texas Ranger reboot, but fans had to wait until just recently to learn that Ackles will be reteaming with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke for his action-packed superhero streaming series The Boys for its impending third season. But what's that going to look like?

Considering The Boys' second season hasn't even debuted yet, it seems kind of silly to start a guessing game over what he might look like. So it's a good thing we are a culture of silly people. The always dependable superhero speculation artist extraordinaire Boss Logic came to the rescue with a sharp take on what Jensen Ackles could potentially look like as the foul-mouthed O.G. superhero Soldier Boy when he's introduced on The Boys for Season 3.

I can't lie, if I would see that haircut on 98% of anyone else in the world in any context, I would probably feel the need to react with light sarcasm and ridicule. And yet, against all odds, Jensen Ackles is able to pull it off. Saved by the Bell's Mark-Paul Gosselaar would be another contender who could make that look work, and OMG, can someone please get him on The Boys?

It definitely rocks that the hair was made to look like an eagle, since that's just the kind of detail that defines a comic book character's look. That said, Soldier Boy didn't have that particular hairdo in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's The Boys, and his costume was a little different. But what better way to distinguish the TV character from the source material.

Unfortunately, it's hard to know when Jensen Ackles might properly get suited up for his Soldier Boy role, although we can only hope that he'll share some social media posts when he's getting sized up. As well as when he's getting his hair styled...inside an eagle sanctuary.

The Boys' production on Season 3 will likely get started once the world has reached a point where pandemic shutdowns aren't quite so widespread, and safety precautions are easier to work with. For now, though, we can still anticipate Season 2 make its debut on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, September 4, with the first three episodes going live. New episodes will release weekly after that, marking a difference from how the first season dropped all at once.

While waiting to see what Jensen Ackles looks like as Soldier Boy, don't forget to check him out in the final Supernatural episodes, which are set to kick off on The CW on Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 p.m. ET. In the meantime, be sure and check out our Fall 2020 TV premiere schedule to see what other new and returning shows are on the way.
