Lori Loughlin as Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis on Fuller House

Netflix’s Fuller House wrapped up its five-season run earlier this year with a triple wedding and a slew of guest stars. However, one person who was notably absent from the sitcom’s funny and sweet sendoff was cast member Lori Loughlin. The actress was fired due to her involvement in the college entrance exams cheating scandal. With this, it was explained that her Aunt Becky was staying in Nebraska, where she was helping with her mother. While Loughlin wasn’t on set for the show’s final moments, her co-star, Candace Cameron Bure, has explained how her presence was still felt.

Candace Cameron Bure recently celebrated the anniversary of the series finale taping through a few posts in her Instagram stories. It was here that she revealed a note and flowers that appeared to be from Lori Loughlin. Now, she’s confirmed that they were indeed from her former co-star:

Yes, it was a note from her. She sent me flowers and I believe a few other people some flowers. It was so nice to feel and have her presence there at the show… Yeah, it was really special.

It would seem that Lori Loughlin found a way to celebrate Fuller House’s big moment, despite not actually being with them. And based on Candace Cameron Bure’s comments to ET, it sounds like she really appreciated the gesture from her longtime TV co-star.

A few months ago, Lori Loughlin was formally sentenced to two months in federal prison after she and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, entered a plea deal back in May. As part of the deal, the actress is also required to pay a fine of $150,000 and complete 150 hours of community service. Aside from losing her Fuller House role, Loughlin was also fired from Hallmark’s When Calls The Heart.

Over the years, the cast of Full and Fuller House have proven to be very tight knit. The group famously kept in touch and reunited on multiple occasions, even before the sequel series went into production.

When news of Loughlin’s involvement in the scandal first broke, her co-stars appeared to distance themselves from the situation. However, during a speech given at the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, some of her co-stars seemed to lend their support to her, without mentioning her by name.

Cameron Bure would eventually open up even more about the situation, calling the matter “personal” to the cast of Fuller House and referring to Loughlin as a “dear and close friend.” Reiterating her comments from the KCAs, she stated that the cast is a “family” and they “stand by each other and pray for each other and we'll always be there for each other.”
