Looks Like A New Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Project Is On The Way

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended its run seven-season run a few months ago and, while the show delivered a relatively satisfying ending for Phil Coulson and his team, fans want more. Considering where the character ended up by the show’s final moments, the spinoff possibilities are endless, though none seem to be in development at the moment, But fear not S.H.I.E.L.D. fans, as it would appear that some kind of new project is currently in the works. And apparently, it involves the cast and crew.

Geoffrey Colo, who served as a producer on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the bulk of its run, recently posted a teasy message on Twitter. In the post, he shouted out fans of the show and mentioned that the new project is on the way. Check out his post below:

So not only are we getting a “very cool” new project, but Colo also says that we can expect it to arrive on November 29th. What has to be most exciting about this is that it will apparently reunite the cast and crew.

So, of course, now we can only try to figure out what this is going to be. It could just be a general reunion among the stars, though it probably isn’t that straightforward since the show only ended a few months ago. Still, reunions have become incredibly popular over this past year.

One cool possibility is that it’s a virtual table read among the cast members. Not only that, but maybe they could be coming back together to do a read of an original episode written by showrunners and writers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. Sure, this is wishful thinking but definitely not an impossibility. Regardless of what the project is, it wouldn’t be surprising if it helps to raise money for charity. Many of the recent reunions were formed for good causes, and it’s easy to see the S.H.I.E.L.D. cast and crew taking a similar approach.

The series finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. saw Coulson’s teams go their separate ways. For instance, Mack and Yo-Yo continued on in their positions with S.H.I.E.L.D., while FitzSimmons retired to raise their daughter and live a quiet life. And Coulson himself decided to take some time off and travel the world. There’s a firm chance this new project won’t truly continue the stories of these beloved characters, but I certainly wouldn’t throw out the possibility.

Whatever the case, it’ll just be nice to see some kind of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. content following the series finale. Geoffrey Colo’s comments are definitely enough to pique fans’ interest, and it’s fair to assume that they’ll now be waiting intently for what’s being planned on the 29th of November.

The first six seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are available to stream on Netflix, while the final season can be found on Hulu.
