Why 90 Day Fiance's Julia Is Mad At Brandon After Bedroom Reveal

Julia 90 Day Fiance TLC

Warning! The following contains spoilers for the 90 Day Fiancé episode "Shame On You." Read at your own risk!

90 Day Fiancé may have only featured one couple making all the mistakes in its Season 8 premiere, but things started to get problematic for the other recently introduced stars in the second episode. Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina had their first major squabble of the season after the Russia-born Julia learned that Brandon's parents wanted the two of them to stay in separate rooms while going through the K-1 visa process in the U.S.

Brandon warned his father in the premiere that Julia may not be happy about their bedroom preference, and 90 Day Fiancé’s latest episode added a bit more to that story. Obviously, Julia had reasons to be upset with Brandon’s parents about their stance, but she was apparently also upset with her groom-to-be because he didn’t put up the same kind of fight that she did with her own parents.

Julia Trubkina told Brandon Gibbs to be a man, and now we know a big reason why she called him out. Julia went to bat and fought for the two to sleep in the same bedroom together when he visited her in Russia, and she clearly expected him to do the same thing whenever his parents spoke up. Brandon didn't do a very good job of defending their right to share a room in the 90 Day Fiancé episode, despite the fact that he clearly wanted that outcome as much as Julia did.

That's some not-so-good news for Brandon Gibbs, who is still holding back even more secrets from his wife-to-be Julia, who is under the impression that they will be moving out of his parents' house soon into her stay. In reality, though, the two will more likely than not need to stay there for a while longer even if they get married. Brandon spent around $10,000 on Julia over the course of 7 months, so he needs some time under his parents' room in order to put some money back into savings to start a new life.

At least, that's what Brandon is saying. 90 Day Fiancé also revealed that Brandon is the rightful heir to his parent's farm when they're ready to hand it over, so it stands to reason Julia Trubkina's whole life could be spent on that farm. Of course, they'll presumably get to share a room together once they are married, but it certainly seems like the couple will have to deal with Brandon's over-bearing parents for at least a full season. Perhaps their biggest challenge as a couple will ultimately fall on whether they can come to an understanding about how involved Brandon's parents are in their lives. Or maybe we'll learn about 30 other problems that are plaguing them.

90 Day Fiancé airs on TLC Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for all the latest happening in television and movies.
