Kim And Kanye Divorce Is On The Table, But That Didn't Stop Them From Spending A Ton On Holiday Gifts For Each Other

kanye west and kim kardashian keeping up with the kardashians

One of the most high-profile couples in the entertainment world, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been on the cusp of a rumored split for quite a while now, and the two are now reportedly heading in the direction of a divorce. But don't let those relationship woes fool you into thinking the multi-bazillionaires didn't drop a fortune on each other during the holidays, because they most certainly went all out and then some on securing top-dollar gifts as they apparently spent the holiday together with their four kids. (Never forget that Grinch outfit!)

Let's start with the lavish gifts that Kanye West reportedly bought for Kim Kardashian, since it's a perfect picture of excess to the nth degree. (Or maybe the Ye-th degree.) According to TMZ, West gave his wife a 2021 Mercedes-Maybach SUV, and... Wait, did I say just one? Sorry, no, West gifted Kardashian with five different 2021 Mercedes-Maybach SUVs. Maybe one for is for her personal use, and then each kid gets their own as an exclusive ride. Or maybe they're just all for her personal use.

The 2021 Maybach SUVs have a starting price that runs north (West) of $160,000, and that total could easily scale much higher depending on what kind of bells and whistles he requested to be added into the vehicles he bought. So on the low end, West paid out around $800,000 for Kardashian's presents, but he likely spent closer to a full $1 million on them. Now the big question is how he got them all under a tree, amirite?

On the flip side of things, Kim Kardashian did not exactly avoid frills when picking out her gift for Kanye West. She chose to give him several different pieces from artist James Turrell, who has been a favorite of West's. The artist's work is said to have been a big inspiration for some of the visual choices that West made for his Sunday Service shows, from lighting elements to camera lenses. Not to mention the fact that Turrell's land art project at Roden Crater is where West filmed his Jesus Is King short.

While it wasn't reported exactly how many pieces Kim Kardashian bought for West, it's stated that the total costs added up to more than $1 million. So one would hope that he absolutely adored the gifts, since that would be quite a hefty sum to drop on something that received a ho-ho-ho-hum reaction.

As happy as the holiday season presumably was for the West family, things took a weird turn after the fact when a Tik-Tok video went viral for alleged implications that Kanye West had some kind of a relationship going with make-up artist and YouTuber Jeffree Star. There wasn't much validity to that, and it's strange that such a random claim went so viral without any proof, but these are the times we're living in. Let's all soothe ourselves with a 2021 Maybach SUV, shall we?
