It’s Britney Bitch: Britney Spears Responds To Critics Of Her Viral Dance Posts

Britney Spears dancing in "Hold It Against Me" music video

This week was a big week for Britney Spears, as her fanbase came out in full force to mark the anniversary of her being in a conservatorship for 13 years. While that’s positive momentum for the Spears fanbase, the “Toxic” singer also recently faced some backlash recently for some of the dancing videos she’s posted to social media. Now, she has some thoughts for all the haters.

The good news is that despite Britney’s money, career and life in general being managed, she at least has the freedom to post to social media and she’s used that as an outlet to share workouts, dance videos and more. But in some of her recent videos she’ hasn’t been bothering with makeup and has been trying some dance movies that seem a little less practiced, causing some people to show concern online. Here’s an example of one of those dance vids set to her ex Justin Timberlake’s music:

The video has racked up nearly 2.5 million views, but it also came with plenty of comments. While some people simply enjoyed the fact she actually tagged Justin Timberlake in the video, other people seemed a little more concerned about what was happening to cause Spears to post that video and another dance video in a different outfit that followed, particularly given the singer's public struggles with mental health in the past. To that, Britney has addressed her critics, noting she’s just trying to figure out where she fits on Instagram:

I’m trying to learn how to use technology in this technology driven generation .... but to be totally honest with you I can’t stand it!!! So ... if my posts aren’t perfect ... I’m doing this for fun !!!! If you think I should look like I’m on a magazine cover when I dance .... sorry ain’t happening.

Basically, she doesn’t care what people are saying about her choice of social videos. After all, she’s Britney, bitch. She’s just going to keep on doing her own thing on social media and try to keep herself occupied as we head into 2021. Britney Spears, in fact, has had a long last year as she’s gone to court to challenge her conservatorship being run by her father. Late last year, it looked as if the “Free Britney” movement was gaining steam, but at this moment, Britney Spears is still under a conservatorship. It also came out that her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is in charge of her trust.

Meanwhile, Britney Spears is feeling hella good and just gonna keep on dancing, to paraphrase another famous singer. She has also listed some of her other goals for the new year, which involve things like food and exercise. She revealed on Instagram:

Number 1 is to meditate more. Number 2 is to take a cooking class. Number 3 is to do a pilates class and actually follow through with the class and Number 4 is I’ve got to try this ice cream diet.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted if Britney continues to address her naysayers. In the meantime, if she’s going to dance to Justin Timberlake again, I highly suggest finding a denim look next time.
