The day has finally, finally come for all Handmaid's Tale fans to start celebrating, as Hulu has at last revealed when the delayed drama will return to streaming for its no-doubt disturbing fourth season. The only thing that could make that good news better is the fact that we have a new Season 4 trailer to watch and savor while waiting for Elisabeth Moss' June to show up in the first episodes.

The Handmaid's Tale Season 4 will debut its first three episodes on Hulu on Wednesday, April 28. And fans can take a quick look at what to expect in the trailer above, which definitely brings some Hunger Games vibes, what with the badass female characters, the not-quite-post-apocalyptic vibe, and the differing factions vying for supremacy, just to name a few things. If only Elisabeth Moss' June had popped up with a bow and arrow at some point. I guess these guns will have to do.

The official synopsis for Season 4 hints more at June's ascent to becoming a full-fledged leader within this fractured society.

In the 10-episode upcoming season, June (Elisabeth Moss) strikes back against Gilead as a fierce rebel leader, but the risks she takes bring unexpected and dangerous new challenges. Her quest for justice and revenge threatens to consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships.

Speaking of those cherished relationships, the trailer shows all kinds of familiar faces, and plenty enough of Aunt Lydia's busted-up face. We get to see Samira Wiley's Moira looking none too happy about something, as well as Max Minghella's Nick. Bradley Whitford's Commander Joseph Lawrence is also shown for a quick moment, but okay, let's get back to Ann Dowd's Lydia and cheer on June for attacking the often ruthless beeyotch at some point in Season 4.

Go June! Go June! Fans can already take comfort in knowing the impending fourth season won't be the end of The Handmaid's Tale, despite Elisabeth Moss having landed a new show, since Hulu renewed the hit drama for a fifth season back in October 2020. So don't expect to see any clear-cut conclusions for June, at least, though there are plenty of other characters on the show that could be destined for doom. Especially if Mckenna Grace's new character Mrs. Keyes has anything to say about it, because she's a beast.

Prepare yourself for a new look at the broken country in The Handmaid's Tale when it debuts its fourth season on Hulu on Wednesday, April 28. Episodes will release weekly after the first three drop, so fans will have time to have plenty of discussions while waiting to see what happens next with Gilead and its present and former inhabitants.
