After nearly a decade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Loki will finally move away from his adopted Avenger brother and enter his own adventure in a self-titled Disney+ series. Fans are delighted to see the God of Mischief in a new light and, based on the latest trailer, the show appears to be just as wild and unpredictable as he is. Of course, Tom Hiddleston’s titular antihero isn’t the only one who has fans hyped, as many are also loving the fact that Owen Wilson is along for the ride.
On Loki, Owen Wilson plays the role of Mobius M. Mobius, a bureaucratic operative who works to maintain all of time along with others at the TVA (Time Variance Authority). The recent trailer reveals that Loki will actually be working with the organization to fix the damage done after he took the Tesseract, and it doesn't look like the mischievous character is too keen on serving under the massive entity.
We’re only now starting to get a true sense of what Owen Wilson’s Mobius is like, but MCU fans are certainly here for him so far. One thing that caught the public’s attention after the first trailer is Wilson’s look, which is a bit of a change for him. And some are still swooning over it on Twitter:
One of the things that’s most intriguing is that Mobius seems to know everything about Loki, having studied the character for some time. But while the TVA operative is trying to keep the character in line, he’s more than prepared for him to act out, as per usual:
Another intriguing and exciting element is the pairing of Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston. The two are very different kinds of actors but are both greatly loved by fan so, as you would imagine that many are living for the fact that they’ll be creating some sort of odd couple:
But aside from the superhero and time-travel shenanigans, fans just seem to be hoping for Owen Wilson to do what he does best as an actor. This includes Wilson saying one of his signature lines:
It’s great that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is finally getting to step into the spotlight, but it’s also cool to see that he’s seemingly surrounded by a host of interesting supporting characters. So far, Hiddleston and Owen Wilson seem to have the best chemistry, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given how they prepared for the show.
We’ll see just how their characters continue to get along when Loki makes its June 11th premiere on Disney+, which you can sign up for using this link.
