The Carrie Diaries Gets Some Totally Rad 80s Character Photos
The CW is heading back in time this January with the premiere of The Carrie Diaries, a Sex and the City prequel that takes us back to Carrie Bradshaw's teen years. The network released some like totally rad character photos, which give us a look at the younger version of Carrie and some of her friends. Check them out ahead!
While I'm a fan of Sex and the City, I'm actually more excited to see how The CW approaches the 80s aspect of this series than I am to get to know Carrie Bradshaw in her younger years. Being a period drama, set in an era before cell phones and Twitter should distinguish the series from other current shows about teens. Factor in Carrie's interest in fashion and the costumes alone are likely to make TCD a fun series to watch. Based on Candace Bushnell's novel, The Carrie Diaries follow Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager, living with her father and sister after her mother passed away when she's offered the opportunity to go to New York to intern at a law office…
Here's the new promotional photo of the main cast…
Featured in the photo above from left to right are:
Katie Findlay as Maggie - Carrie's friend, described as sarcastic and self-assured.
Brendan Dooling as Walt - Carrie's friend, who's described as sensitive.
Ellen Wong as Mouse - Another friend of Carrie's, described as sweet and geeky.
