First Look At American Horror Story: Hotel's Dildo Killer Is Creepy As Hell
Now that American Horror Story: Hotel has started showing off what this season is actually going to look like, there seems to be no end in sight. The newest promo, the first to give away legit episode footage, gives us our first real peek at what that horrifying dildo-wielding murderer looks like. You won’t believe your (non)eyes.
I love this. The character, which will be dubbed The Addiction Demon, doesn’t have eyes or a mouth for some reason – well, the reason is obviously “because this is American Horror Story” – but he does have a nose-hole for breathing and an ear-hole for hearing people’s screams. It’s not exactly clear if this dude is supposed to be supernatural and actually demonic, or if he’s just a “regular” human being who has a particular affinity for putting guck all over his face before going on the murderpath. He kind of looks like he’d be a distant cousin to Jeff Goldblum’s Brundlefly.
Sadly, we don’t get to see the conical drillbit dildo that he’ll be causing havoc with inside the Hotel Cortez. I’m guessing Ryan Murphy and FX are planning on keeping that particular prop hidden until it’s unsheathed during the show itself. And that’s fine by me, as I like gross surprises.
But the promo did give us a glimpse of the Addiction Demon’s hands that will be swinging that dildo around, and those fingernails are to die for. Or to die because of. And we're not going to get into how icky the rest of that body looks.
We’re hoping that this ghoulish bastard has something to do with the scene that’s being touted as the most disturbing one in the show’s to-be-five-year history. But it’s not like he’s the only killer that’ll be lurking around. Wes Bentley’s Detective John Lowe is also searching for someone called The Ten Commandments Killer, and then there’s also Lady Gaga’s Countess Elizabeth and her two bloodsucking lovers, played by Matt Bomer and Finn Wittrock. And I seriously doubt the murders end with that handful of folks. After all, Lily Rabe is playing a real-life serial killer for the Halloween episode.
Check out the entire promo below, which shows off a lot more of the setting and characters, and also offers tidbits and insights from the cast.
Get your fingers ready to hit your remote’s pause button with reckless abandon once American Horror Story: Hotel takes over your televisions when it premieres on Wednesday, October 11.
