Fringe's John Noble To Guest Star On The Good Wife

Fringe’s John Noble is headed to CBS to guest star in a very different type of program. The man has signed on for an episode of The Good Wife, and it seems he will tie in to the titular character, Alicia’s, past. Humorously enough, like his character on Fringe, Noble’s character on The Good Wife will still be a science-oriented guy.

Noble’s character is actually set to appear in the series in flashbacks, which isn’t a device The Good Wife uses all that often. However, series star Julianna Margulies told TV Guide Canada that the role makes total sense, since Noble’s character will be a tech guy that Alicia formerly used to handle. Margulies describes the character as “brilliant” but the kind of guy who expends a lot of energy on suing people, which Margulies has dealt with in plenty throughout the show.

Any reservations you may have about a flashback episode should be quashed, right now, since Margulies is practically gushing over getting to work with the actor.

“On the page, I thought, ‘Is this going to make sense?’ and he filled it with such incredible talent. I can’t even tell you. I looked at him and I went, ‘I didn’t even know that was the character. I’m so blown away.’”

The Good Wife always manages to bring in some excellent guest stars, so it’s no surprise the show managed to book Noble. Still, it will be a little while before we catch the man in action—he won’t appear until the 18th episode. Until then, you can watch new episodes of CBS’ legal drama on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
