Bruce Jenner is about to embark on his own journey with the help of an E! reality series, but that won’t stop Keeping up with the Kardashians from putting together a special related to Jenner’s big announcement that he is transgender. The new special will be called Keeping up with the Kardashians: About Bruce, and will feature interviews from Bruce, but also Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick.
Keeping up with the Kardashians: About Bruce will be a two-part special that will hit E! in just a couple of weeks, airing on Sunday, May 17 and Monday, May 18. The special will focus on how the family members have been processing Bruce Jenner’s announcement that he would like to move forward as a woman. For now, Bruce is still preferring to use his birth name and masculine pronouns. His family is said to be taking the news at their “own pace.”
Kris Jenner, in particular, has been quiet about Bruce Jenner in the media, declining to even speak to Diane Sawyer as part of the journalist’s recent interview with Bruce Jenner. The couple initially separated way back in 2013, and in the time since have consciously uncoupled… err, divorced. In a preview for the special over at E!, Jenner appears to be having a rare emotional moment regarding her former partner. Here’s her raw reaction to what’s been going on with Bruce:
I have these memories of this life and I feel sometimes like it didn’t exist.
The Keeping up with The Kardashians: About Bruce special will precede the docuseries that Bruce Jenner has already signed on for, which will detail his transition into being a woman. Jenner’s reality series will hit the schedule on July 26 at 9 p.m. ET. The show is expected to be raw, honest and eye-opening, but also should hit some humorous notes, as when Jenner has to adjust his golf game thanks to his changing body.
Big changes can cause shakeups in families, and while Kris Jenner still seems to be having a rough time emotionally, all of the Kardashian/Jenner clan still seems to be very supportive of Bruce. You can find out exactly how they all feel when Keeping up with the Kardashians: About Bruce hits the schedule on May 17 at 9 p.m. and May 18 at 9 p.m. In addition, find out when your other summer favorites will be premiering with our summer TV premiere schedule.
