The Teen Mom gals have gone from being 16 and pregnant to moving on and struggling as parents and birth parents in the controversial and popular MTV spinoff series. Over four seasons, we have seen the girls grow as individuals and work on their relationships, be it with their parents or their partners. With teen mother Amber Portwood, we’ve even been privy to some drama drama with the legal system. Now headed into its fourth season, the time has nearly come to say farewell to Portwood, Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell, and Maci Bookout.
MTV announced Friday the show, which has aired since 2009, will wrap up the four girls' storylines during Season 4. While the premiere date for Season 4 has yet to be announced, new episodes of the show are expected to begin popping up this summer. In a statement to US Weekly, MTV spoke out to thank the four young women who took part in the original Teen Mom series, as well as were part of 16 and Pregnant prior to the show.
If you are a fan of the show, MTV has yet to announce a cancellation of Teen Mom 2, so you likely will be able to continue your baby mamma drama fix come fall. Additionally, Season 4 of 16 and Pregnant begins airing on MTV on March 27. MTV has already announced Teen Mom 3 is in the works and will feature members of the upcoming 16 and Pregnant cast. With MTV’s original moms moving out of their teens and into adulthood, it seems like the right time to move on.
