Bravo is the home for many of the best reality shows, namely the wildly popular Real Housewives franchise. Season 15 wrapped up in May on Bravo (and streaming with a Peacock subscription) with folks curious about how the cast would shake up ahead of its whopping 16th season on the air. News just broke that newcomer Amanda Frances is leaving after just one season, and I think we all called this out months before the news broke.
RHOBH is a fan favorite for many, thanks to the glamor and money that the cast typically brings to our screens. Frances came in last season and had a way of activating the other women like Boz, Dorit, and Erika. But over on Instagram, she revealed she wouldn't be returning for another season, with part of her post reading:
My time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is complete. Saying yes to this show was one of the boldest, wildest, most clarifying things I’ve ever done. And I am genuinely grateful— Grateful for the experience. The women. The viewers who saw me, rooted for me, challenged me, quoted me, misunderstood me, defended me, found my work, bought my books, or simply watched me try to explain metaphysics in a room full of diamonds and side-eyes.
This post ends with "I win in the end," which really feels on-brand for Amanda Frances after seeing how she navigated her first (and only) season of RHOBH. She was shown to have a high opinion of herself and her business, which is something that seemed to irk her co-stars. But she's officially retiring her diamond, so any lingering tension with the other women will not be given closure.
In the midst of last season, fans like me predicted Amanda wouldn't be back for a second season. She just didn't seem cut out to be a Real Housewife, and was seemingly more invested in plugging her businesses and showing off her fashions. Even the smallest comments or minor conflicts seemed to throw Frances, despite the drama on RHOBH being much tamer than other cities.
Frances' exit is only the latest of one-season Housewives that have come and gone on Beverly Hills. Anne Marie Riley came and went in Season 13, while Diana Jenkins did the same in Season 12. We'll just have to wait and see if Rachel Zoe ends up sticking around for a second season, or if she'll follow this noticeable pattern. For her part, the long-running reality TV star was embraced by both fans and the RHOBH ladies.

That's a sentiment that some Beverly Hills fans are feeling after Amanda announced her departure after just one season on the show. She just never seemed like she was long for the show.
