The Walking Dead Season 4 Teaser: Who's Begging For Help?

Those of us tuned into AMC last night caught a glimpse of the latest Walking Dead teaser. As was the case with the previously released video for the popular zombie series, which was just eleven seconds long, it's pretty shore. But on the bright side, this one goes a few seconds longer, and offers a creepy horror movie vibe to go with its many quick glimpses of intense scenes from The Walking Dead's upcoming fourth season.

The previously released teaser had its own horror movie tone, but in that case, it was less creepy and more scary-zombie-mayhem, with a side of Daryl heroism to top it off. In the above teaser, we have Rick being pleaded for help by an unseen woman who sounds like she has an accent. Who's begging for help? And is it me or do they have the kind of eery "voice in your head" quality or the tone of a ghost that's begging to be released? Or maybe I just have an overactive imagination and have seen too many horror movies. Still, there's something strange about that "Please help me" line, isn't there? And it wouldn't be entirely out of the ordinary for Rick to be hearing voices...

In addition to the mystery-woman's voice, we have the sight of someone running, Michonne staring, Tyreese looking tense, Maggie pointing a gun and Rick punching. Never a dull moment!

We're still more than a month away from the zombie drama's return, but as it's officially September, October doesn't seem so far away anymore. In the meantime, we're left to wonder how things are going for Rick and his people now that the Woodbury community has moved into the prison. Are they all getting along? Have the groups really merged or are there still two obvious sides, with the Governors group on one side and the prison group on the other? And of course, there's the Governor? Is he off plotting his revenge somewhere? It wouldn't be surprising if he was out rebuilding his numbers in anticipation of storming the prison and taking over. Just a theory.

What we do know is that there's lots of drama ahead for these characters. In case you haven't seen it, here's the much-bigger look at Season 4 of TWD
