Today EA announced that over the next two months they will be shutting down the online servers for nine more of their games. The affected games include Mercenaries 2 and Lord of the Rings: Conquest.

- Lord of the Rings: Conquest for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
- Mercenaries 2: World in Flames for PC
- Need for Speed: Carbon for PlayStation Portable
- Need for Speed: ProStreet for PlayStation Portable
- Simpsons for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
April 15, 2010 Online Service Shutdown
- Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2
- Army of Two for PlayStation 3 (Asia only)
The announcement also notes that they're dropping support for their three remaining Xbox Original online games on April 15th, though that's a service-wide shutdown instituted by Microsoft. Earlier this month, EA discontinued online play for a number of their sports games, including Madden NFL 09.
