Sure, Halloween isn't until next Wednesday, but we know how this holiday works. This weekend will be crammed with Halloween parties, and if you're a grown-up who's past the age of trick-or-treating, it will be your one chance to show off the awesome costume you've spent months planning (or threw together based on whatever was in your closet, depending on your style). Now we want to give you a chance to show off your costume genius to more than just the people in your neighborhood. That's right, it's time for another Halloween Costume Contest!
And this year we've got a prize to offer that's more than just eternal fame and recognition here at Cinema Blend. We're teaming up with the Bloody Disgusting Selects horror series to give away 10-- that's right, ten!-- horror movies on DVD, including the brand-new Truth or Die. The full list of titles and links to their Amazon pages, plus a gallery of all the cover art, is at the bottom of this post.
So how do you enter? Snap photos of your TV or movie-inspired costumes-- either from this year or excellent ones from years past-- and e-mail them to katey@cinemablend.com before midnight on Friday, November 2 (you can also enter at this Facebook post, but make sure we can see the photo you link to). We'll pick out the best entry and award that person with the 10 DVD set, while also highlighting some of the other standouts. By e-mailing us your photo you give us the right to publish your photo on Cinema Blend in the winners post to run Monday, November 5, but we promise we won't use the photo after that or sell it to anyone or anything like that.
If you win, we will contact you to ask for your mailing address (no P.O. boxes please, and addresses only within the United States). Prizes will be mailed directly to the winner. No purchase necessary. Failure to comply with the rules will result in disqualification and subsequent mockery. Good luck!
