Vivienne Jolie-Pitt To Cameo In Maleficent

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter VIvienne Jolie-Pitt is joining the cast of the upcoming Disney film Maleficent. The 4-year-old will make a small cameo in the film, which stars her mother as the villainous Maleficent, the character featured in the 1959 classic film Sleeping Beauty.

Maleficent stars Angelina Jolie as the title character, with the film giving us a look at the other side of the story, following Maleficent's origins and revealing "the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora."

JustJared got confirmation from a Disney rep that Vivienne Jolie-Pitt will make her acting debut in Maleficent, playing the minor role of the child version of Princess Aurora. Elle Fanning is set to play the older version of the role.

It doesn't sound like an especially big part, but playing the young version of a lead character has led to bigger things for other actors. In fact, Elle Fanning played the younger version of her older sister Dakota's characters Lucy in I Am Sam, and Allie in the TV miniseries Taken. And while I don't think Angelina Jolie ever played the younger version of another character in a movie, Mila Kunis played a younger version of Angelina Jolie's Gia in Gia. So, who knows? This could be the starting point in young Vivienne's career.

Maleficent Is scheduled to arrive in theaters March 14, 2014. More information and a bigger version of the photo of Jolie in make-up can be found in our Blend Film Database.
