Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty is still being kept under a pretty significant veil of secrecy, with a release date planned just a month from now and very, very details out there about what the movie actually entails. Yes, we all know it's about SEAL Team Six's effort to kill Osama bin Laden, and given that Bigelow is the director behind The Hurt Locker and K-19: The Widowmaker, we can probably expect big things from it. But all of the marketing so far have emphasized little more than the movie's secrecy, as if the release was just as top-secret as the actual raid itself.

But now they're daring to reveal a bit more about the movie in the new poster, which just premiered at Moviefone. Take a look below:

Now compare that to the original teaser poster, which saw basically this same format but so secretive even the title was redacted:

Clearly we're making progress on unveiling Zero Dark Thirty's secrets, but it's pretty amazing to see them hyping the secrecy of a movie about an event to which we all know the ending. Yes, Osama bin Laden will be dead at the end of the movie, but the actual efforts involved in accomplishing that aren't especially well known-- and based on what we've heard, it ought to make for a thrilling and tense thriller in Bigelow's hands. Zero Dark Thirty won't be opening in wide release until January 11, but it opens in limited release on December 19, which positions it perfectly for Oscar season. As one of the biggest remaining question marks of 2012, we can't wait to get a look at what Bigelow has in store for us.
