Watch The US Olympic Swimmers Sing Call Me Maybe
Members of the US Olympic Swim Team might be advised on when to train, what to eat and how to present themselves during interviews, but that doesn’t mean they can’t figure out their own ways to goof off. In this case, someone grabbed a camera, downloaded “Call Me Maybe” and had a hell of a lot fun.
The lip-sync of Carly Rae Jepsen’s smash hit has been making the rounds on the Internet today, which is no surprise considering how carefully the footage has been assembled. Featuring dozens of athletes, intricate choreography and plenty of fun, it’s a great way to get to get to know the athletes on a personal level, and it’s an even better way to find a few random smiles. You can take a look at the clip below…
Win, lose or draw, making it to the Olympics is a testament to one’s talent and willingness to train almost constantly. That pride and joy really comes across here, as does the insane catchiness of “Call Me Maybe”. Since the song has been released, dozens of these lip-syncs have appeared featuring both celebrities and random people. This has to be considered among the best.
You can tune into NBC over the next few weeks to watch everyone here try to make their dreams come true.
