Parenthood's Lauren Graham Will Guest Star On Go On
Lauren Graham keeps pretty busy with her role as Sarah Braverman on NBC’s Parenthood. Despite this, she’s always willing to lend a hand—or at least her acting skills—to a friend in need, especially when it helps her own network. Sometime this season, Graham will join Go On in a special guest role.
Go On Delivers Three Solid Episodes But Will NBC's New Comedy Go On?
Despite a pretty terrible title, NBC’s Go On is a solid new comedy and, most importantly, one that has legs. First seasons can be rough, pilot’s even rougher, and yet the Matthew Perry led comedy about a widower stuck in group therapy has delivered three quality episodes to start the series, showing a lot of promise for the future. Were they perfect? Of course not! Kinks will need to be worked out, the incredibly large ensemble might have to be thinned and the jokes will be fine tuned but from what we’ve seen so far, Go On deserves to, uh, keep going on.
New Cast Photos For Go On, The New Normal, Revolution And Other NBC Series
NBC begins the process of rolling out their new fall series tonight with the official premieres of The New Normal and Go On. Both comedies aired sneak previews last night, but they move into their permanent Tuesday spot this evening after The Voice. NBC released some new artwork focusing on the casts of each of their new series, including tonight's comedies. Check them out ahead.
The New Normal And Go On: NBC Brings Humor, Grief And Family To Tuesdays
NBC's serving up a double-dose of comedy this Tuesday night, following The Voice. First up is the new half-hour comedy Go On, which has Matthew Perry starring as a widower who isn't ready to grieve. Sharing the hour is The New Normal, the Ryan Murphy/Ali Adler created comedy about a same-sex couple who hire a woman to be the surrogate mother to their child. Paired together, both comedies offer a heaping helping of snarky humor, under which are actual heartfelt stories.
Matthew Perry's Go On Sneak Preview Earns Strong Post-Olympics Ratings
Could Matthew Perry’s return to primetime be a successful one this time? If the ratings for the post-Olympics preview are anything to go by, then there’s definitely hope. The special preview of his new comedy Go On did well last night, especially considering how late it was when it hit the air.
Go On Full Episode: Watch The Pilot For NBC's New Comedy Starring Matthew Perry
NBC's comedy Go On doesn't make its official debut at the network until mid-September, but the network gave viewers a commercial-free look at the series' pilot episode after their Olympic coverage last night. And for those of you who couldn't stay up that late, it's now available to watch online, and you can check it out here!
NBC's New Comedy Go On Has Matthew Perry Approaching Grief With Humor
Finding humor in the darker moments of life is something I can get behind. In fact, it's less a personal philosophy as it is a frequent, natural reaction for me. Perhaps that's why I see the potential in a show like Go On, NBC's single-camera comedy starring Matthew Perry, which suggests the idea that, though grief has to be dealt with, it's ok to laugh. Go On will make its official debut next month, but NBC is offering viewers an early sample of the series by airing the entire pilot episode tonight, following their scheduled primetime Olympic coverage.
Revolution, The New Normal And Other New NBC Series To Be Previewed Early Online
In recent years, cable and network TV have taken more active approaches in generating buzz for their new programming in the weeks leading up to their official premieres. In many cases, that involves releasing the premiere episodes online ahead of their on-air premieres. Yesterday we learned that Fox was planning to offer a couple of their new shows online, and today comes word from NBC that they'll be offering up early looks at their new comedies and dramas as well.
John Cho Joins New NBC Comedy Go On As A Series Regular
John Cho’s guest starring role in the NBC pilot for Go On has been upgraded to a regular series role now that the show is headed for the fall schedule. Cho closed the deal today to come on board the half-hour comedy, which has Matthew Perry in the lead role, to play Perry’s boss.
NBC 2012 Fall TV Premiere Schedule Has Grimm Premiering In August, Sneak Previews Of Two Comedies
Thanks to the Olympics, it looks like NBC's aiming to get a jump-start on the fall season this year. This isn't exactly surprising news. We'd heard word last month that the Peacock was thinking about doing some early launches of new and returning shows. NBC has released the Fall 2012 primetime premiere schedule and sure enough, those looking forward to the return of Grimm, and getting a peek at Animal Practice and Go On will be pleased to see them on the schedule for early/mid-August.
Go On Preview: Clips From NBC's Upcoming Comedy Starring Matthew Perry
Among the comedies set to join NBC this fall is Go On, a half-hour show that puts Friends star Matthew Perry back at the network in a starring role. NBC released some clips from the pilot, as well as the official synopsis for the series, which has him playing a sportscaster who suffers a loss and has to attend group therapy to overcome it.
NBC 2012-2013 Primetime Schedule Moves Community To Fridays With Whitney
After a flood of renewals and cancellations, we now have our first look at what the fall will look like for network TV, at least as far as NBC is concerned. Added to the line-up are new dramas Revolution and Chicago Fire, along with comedies Go On and The New Normal. There's also a pretty major scheduling change for Community that doesn't look good.
NBC Orders Anne Heche Starring Comedy Save Me To Series
Last week, we learned that NBC was considering early launches for a couple of series, likely aiming to make good use on the post-Olympics space on the schedule leading into the fall season. Among the mentioned shows was Save Me, a new comedy starring Anne Heche. While the series was was technically still in the pilot phase at that time, the fact that NBC was already looking for a place to park the show suggested very good odds for the project. Sure enough, Save Me has been picked up to series.
NBC Considering August Premieres For Grimm, Matthew Perry's Comedy Go On And Others
Fall may be coming early this year for NBC. Or the TV season might, anyway. With the Peacock set to present the London Olympics this summer, they'll likely want to use the event to garner attention to some of their new and returning programming, and fill the gap between the Games and the start of the fall season by giving some shows a head start. It's a logical strategy, and one that could benefit some shows, including Grimm.
Matthew Perry's Single Camera Comedy Go On Gets A Series Order From NBC
Could this be better news for Matthew Perry? (I will never outgrow my delight at Chandler-speak.) Despite two relatively recent unsuccessful series starring the actor, NBC clearly hasn’t lost faith in the Friends star. The official word has come down from the network to move forward with the comedy pilot starring Perry called Go On, giving it a 13-episode order.
