New Star Wars Forces Of Destiny Trailer Is Packed With Action And Star Wars Legends

The Star Wars universe has expanded in many exciting ways over the years, and the most recent addition is one wonderful web series called Star Wars Forces Of Destiny that has managed to incorporate some of the most legendary characters of all the Star Wars eras. The focus has been on the Star Wars heroines of TV and film alike, and the shorts have even answered big questions that fans have been pondering for many years. Now, a brand new trailer for the half-hour Forces of Destiny TV specials had been released, and it features a whole lot of action and a whole lot of Star Wars legends. Take a look!

Yes, the next batch of Star Wars Forces of Destiny installments will feature even more Star Wars legends than appeared in the first batch. On the film character front, Han Solo himself will clearly appear in at least two of the shorts, as we see him hanging with Leia on Endor circa Return of the Jedi and on the Millennium Falcon with Rey circa The Force Awakens. Given what happened to Han in The Force Awakens, it should be an awful lot of fun to see him back in action to help out Leia. Even Chewie is with him!

Finn will turn up as well, as we can see him in Falcon with Rey, Han, and Chewie. In a fun twist for fans, we'll get to hear John Boyega as one of the many Star Wars actors who reprised their roles for Forces of Destiny. Felicity Jones as Jyn will be back as well, which should definitely be a treat for those of us who loved her in Rogue One and... well, probably won't see her turn up in any future movies. According to the trailer, she crossed paths with Star Wars Rebels' Sabine at some point! Who knew?

Speaking of Star Wars Rebels, the trailer makes it clear that we'll finally get to see Hera in Star Wars Forces of Destiny. She was announced as part of the cast way back in the beginning, and we already knew she would survive Rebels to make it to Endor, but we didn't know we'd get to see her in another short. Hera will be bringing the Ghost and Chopper along for the assist! Ketsu makes an appearance in the trailer as well. One of these Forces of Destiny shorts may feel like a mini episode of Rebels featuring some of our favorites!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be represented as well, as Padme, Ahsoka, and even Yoda are present in the trailer. Padme and Ahsoka seem to be in a space adventure, while Yoda seems to be helping Ahsoka master the use of dual lightsabers, which will undoubtedly be awesome for Clone Wars fans who have been wondering for many years about how Ahsoka started using two.

The first batch of Star Wars Forces of Destiny installments featured mini adventures from the likes of Leia, Rey, Jyn, Sabine, Ahsoka, and Padme. A number of other characters appeared with them, including Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, Chewbacca, R2-D2, and even Wicket the adorable Ewok.

Forces of Destiny will come to TV in the form of two half-hour specials comprised of eight never-before-seen shorts featuring the likes of Han Solo, Hera Syndulla, and the long-awaited Maz Kanata, as well as compilations of the shorts that have already been released. Hasbro will be celebrating the next batches of episodes as well with the releases of new adventure figures that will be available in late 2017/early 2018, including Leia and R2-D2 circa A New Hope and Rey and Kylo Ren circa The Last Jedi. All things considered, fans of Forces of Destiny should have an exciting time in the coming months.

The first special will premiere on Sunday, October 1 at 8 p.m. ET, and the second will hit the airwaves on Sunday, October 29 at 8 p.m. ET, both on Disney Channel and the Disney Channel App. Be sure to tune in to see the Star Wars legends in action! The new shorts will be posted on Disney YouTube if you have to miss the TV special.
