Hyrule Warriors Will Be Getting A Season Pass And DLC

The launch of Hyrule Warriors Legends is just around the corner and, just in time for the big day, Nintendo has revealed finalized plans for the games upcoming DLC and season pass options. And don’t worry if you already have Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U, because you’re getting all of the DLC season pass of your own, too.

Set to launch next Friday, March 25, Hyrule Warriors Legends for the 3DS is a slightly slimmed down version of Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U. Similar to the two different versions of Super Smash Bros., the games will boast the same characters, missions and enemies, but the 3DS version will, obviously, not look as sharp, supports fewer on-screen enemies, etc.

If you’re just looking for some musou action on the go and enjoy plenty of Zelda fan service, however, then Hyrule Warriors Legends should get the job done.

While a 3DS season pass will launch with the game, the Wii U season pass won’t be available until this summer, according to Shack News. However, and also like with Smash Bros., you’ll be able to get the DLC/season pass for either game or both at the same time.

While you’ll be able to purchase the DLC piece meal, too, Nintendo has announced that there will be four DLC bundles for each version of the game. Unfortunately, the price for these bundles or the season pass remain a mystery at this time.

The first DLC bundle for Hyrule Warriors Legends is set called Master Wind Waker Pack and will be available in late spring. This pack will include 16 new costume pieces for your Fairy, as well as a new map for Adventure Mode and one new battle scenario.

In summer 2016 we’ll see the Link’s Awakening pack. That’ll include 16 more costume pieces for your Fairy, a new map and two new challenge battle scenarios, a new playable character and a new weapon for Linkle.

In the fall we’ll see the Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks pack, which includes the requisite Fairy costumes, a new map, new adventure battle and two new battle scenarios, as well as two new playable charcters.

Finally, this winter will bring the Link Between Worlds pack, with 15 new Fairy costumes, a new map, adventure battle and two new scenarios, as well as another pair of playable characters.

The Wii U DLC is a bit lighter, mainly because the Fairy friend isn’t part of that version of the game. The first DLC pack is already available for he game so, this summer, the Link’s Awakening pack will include a new playable character and weapon for Linkle.

In the fall you’ll get the Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, which includes a new character and a new weapon for Toon Link.

The winter Link Between Worlds pack includes two new characters.
