Jak And Daxter Collection Hitting PS3 In February

In a couple weeks, Naughty Dog will release a bundle of Jak and Daxter remakes. The Jak and Daxter Collection will arrive in North America on February 7th and sport numerous improvements.

All three games in the Collection - Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3 - have redone with 720p HD visuals. Each supports stereoscopic 3D as well. Replaying these old classics will also earn players dozens of Trophies.

"When the series debuted on PS2 over 10 years ago, we didn’t have Trophies," said Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells on the PlayStation.Blog. "For our jump to PS3, Mass Media crafted custom Trophies for you to earn for all three titles in the collection. The team at Mass Media has created intricate Trophies, each featuring a unique variation on a design theme based around its mission type. There are over 100 to collect including three Platinum Trophies, so you completionists will have hours of Trophy-hunting fun to look forward to."

A few sample images of the custom Trophies are below, along the Collection's box art.

Jak and Daxter is just the latest in a string of PS2 series to get HD remakes. God of War, Prince of Persia, and Metal Gear Solid were also remade in recent history.
