Someone Remade The Suicide Squad Trailer In Fallout 4, Check It Out
Remaking popular movie and television trailers within video games has become a popular pastime for some people, especially in machinima-friendly games like Grand Theft Auto V and Fallout. Well, the latest Suicide Squad trailer was fodder for the creative mind of one YouTuber who managed to recreate it within Fallout 4.
YouTube content creator UpIsNotJump put together a near three minute video replica of the latest Suicide Squad Blitz trailer, and you can check it out below.
Parts of the trailer look amazing. The lip-synching all the way around is spot on for some of the characters, which is funny because the lip sync for Fallout 4 was one of the early complaints for the game when gamers first saw it in action following the E3 gameplay demonstrations.
The three characters that looked the best were obviously Harley Quinn, who was kind of scarily accurate to Margot Robbie's depiction of the character in the movie; El Diablo, who was convincing enough in the machinima to almost make me think that it was a real Suicide Squad game; and Deadshot, who was mirrored after Will Smith's depiction of the character with a lot of heart and love.
The other characters are kind of hit or miss, but mostly miss. I couldn't tell if we were supposed to be looking at Katana or Enchantress in a few of the scenes, and I don't even know if Slipknot was in there.
The Joker, based on Jared Leto's portrayal of the character, looks... okay, I guess. And Killer Croc kind of fits into the “okay” category as well since he was just a super mutant from Fallout 4.
According to UpIsNotJump, he spent the most time trying to get Harley Quinn and Deadshot right, using a variety of mods from NexusMods for Fallout 4. The dedication to those two characters shines through immediately.

He mentions in the description of the YouTube video that he had so much fun role-playing as The Joker and Batman that he almost had trouble filming. The major problem, of course, is that the Batman depicted in the machinima above looks more like one of those fake Batmen at the beginning of The Dark Knight. Maybe when the mod tools release we'll see a proper import of the Dark Knight models from Batman: Arkham Knight and then the machinima for Fallout 4 will get really interesting.
Despite some of the missteps with the way a few of the characters look, the recreated trailer for the most part is pretty darn impressive. Again, I just can't get over how good he made El Diablo, Deadshot and Harley Quinn look.
According to UpIsNotJump, he has some other ideas in mind for recreating television and movie trailers in Fallout 4. He mentions that the amount of mods required to bring these kind of machinima to life aren't possible on the home consoles, so if you were planning on doing the same thing with the mod tools once they become available from Bethesda, you may have to look into investing into a PC if you want to mirror the quality of the above machinima.
