A New Avengers 2 Clip Will Air On Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Get The Specifics Here

Let's be real: the first trailer of The Avengers: Age of Ultron just wasn't enough. Sure, all 136 seconds of it was disturbingly exciting, but it's physically painful knowing that we still have many more months ahead of us before we can see the finished product. Luckily, Marvel is a company that cares, which is why this week's new episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will feature some brand new footage from the movie - as will the coming 75th anniversary special, Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop! that will be airing one week from tomorrow.

Really, this move is basically making up for the fact that the debut Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer made its way online a bit too early. Marvel was originally planning to debut the Avengers 2 trailer during this week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the video found its way online and spread like wildfire. Because this was partially a stunt to get fans to watch S.H.I.E.L.D., the show was really the biggest loser in the situation. Now that the new episode is being paired with Avengers 2 footage, everything is basically back on track. In fact, the situation may have even improved for the Marvel TV series because now people are even hungrier to see more from the film.

As Marvel points out in their announcement, the response to the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer was rather massive. Shattering a record previously held by Iron Man 3, the preview got 34.4 million global views within 24 hours of its debut - which is pretty damn amazing when you consider the fact that the Shane Black-directed film had 20 million views in the same time span. To say that fans are excited for this feature is a bit of an understatement, and if the movie can deliver in quality then we might see it do something very special at the box office next summer.

Now, let's celebrate the record with a little rewatch, shall we?

Right now we don't know anything about what Avengers 2 footage is going to be shown during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop, but you can be sure that we will be on top of every second of it. For those of you who are waiting for the feature's release date to watch any more from the movie, I hope that May 1, 2015 doesn't seem too far away. As for the rest of you, stay tuned!
