This Avengers 2 Clip Features A Ton Of New Footage

"Show ‘em what we got!" Nick Fury’s command sends Marvel and Disney into battle with an action heavy clip featuring tons of new footage from this summer’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Give it a view, and then we’ll break down all of the amazing things that we think we are seeing!

"If you step out that door, you’re an Avenger," Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) says to, I’m guessing, newcomers Scarlet Witch (Elizabeh Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), mutants… er, "miracles." And the whole clip exists as a roll call – a call to arms to remind folks who the existing members of The Avengers, earth’s mightiest heroes, are at this stage. In doing so, we get incredible, new shots of the superheroes in action. Captain America (Chris Evans) throws a motorcycle over his head. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) hammers Cap’s shield through an approaching army of Ultron bots. And Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) tells Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) that Steve Rogers is "the boss" of the team… even though Stark funds the Avengers and designs their coolest shit.

How do you think that dynamic will play out over the course of Captain America: Civil War?

There are a number of other very cool items in this brief clip. We see the team’s quinjet in action, landing on a strip that has been built into the renovated Stark Tower in New York City.

Quinjet

And we hear, for a brief second, Quicksilver’s accent. Eastern European dialect, muddied by Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s delivery.

Now comes the hard part: Waiting until May 1, when The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens everywhere and kicks off not only a massive summer blockbuster season, but also a transition into the comic-book studio’s Phase Three. So far, in that block of programming, we already know that we are getting solo movies with Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and The Inhumans. It recently was revealed that Spider-Man wil receive his own picture in 2017 that now falls under the umbrella of the MCU. And there will be plenty of sequels for beloved heroes like Cap, Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

But it all starts when the Avengers band together to take down the artificial intelligence known as Ultron. The above clip is action-packed. Do you believe that the movie can live up to the immense amount of hype?
