Bond Lies Alone

You’ve seen several news stories from us reporting all of the rumored Bond-girls over the last couple of weeks for the next spy film Casino Royale. From Uma Thurman to Jessica Alba, just about every noticeable Hollywood hottie has been named, with the roulette wheel finally landing on Charlize Theron about a week ago. Well, now we can tell you who won’t be playing Bond’s leading lady.

According to a recent story by the Sydney News Herald, Theron has rejected the offer to play in Bond’s newest outing, leaving 007 without any lady with only a month before filming begins. The Herald goes on to announce that offers were made to Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson as well, who also rejected the chance to be a Bond-girl - so much for Theron being director Martin Campbell’s first choice, eh?

Not to worry, James Bond has yet to have a film without a woman, and the role of Vesper Lynd should be a meatier Bond-girl role than previous opportunities. In the movies Bond can’t go an hour without bedding someone. I’m sure he’ll find someone to lie with in the next month.
