First Poster For Coming Of Age Story Girl In Progress

2012 should serve to be a solid year for Eva Mendes. While last year really only consisted of an uncredited appearance in Fast Five, Mendes has three films coming out this year, including the newest from director Derek Cianfrance, The Place Beyond The Pines, and a French drama called Holly Motors. But first on the docket for the year is Girl in Progress, a dramedy starring Matthew Modine, Patricia Arquette and newcommer Cierra Ramierez. Set to be released in April, the film now has its first poster, courtesy of Just Jared.

Directed by Patricia Riggen, Girl in Progress follows a 13-year-old girl (Ramierez) who is neglected by her parents. After learning about coming-of-age stories from her teacher (Arquette), she begins working to find a way to become recognized as an adult and an independent young woman. Look for the film when it hits theaters on April 27th.
