Mario Lopez Engages In Dirty Dancing

Two years ago the classic (and incredibly cheesy) Patrick Swayze 80's movie Dirty Dancing got a salsa flavored sequel in the form of Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. No one cared.

You might think Hollywood would take a hint, but with the recent popularity of celebrity dancing they're determined to bring back flexible muscular men in tight pants. The sequel didn't work, so the guys over at Moviehole say that a complete remake is in the works.

Since the sequel pretty much proved that to find an audience they'll need more than the Dirty Dancing name, they're bringing in former Screech buddy and 'Dancing with the Stars" contestant Mario Lopez. He's supposed to be one of the top contenders for the starring role of Johnny Castle in the film.

What would Patrick Swayze do? He's not happy. He told Sky: "I think that the original really stands up well and both leads were great! We seem intent on re-making everything right now."

Listen to this guy Swayze. He knows what he's talking about.
