Despite being a hit show when it was on, The OC has a pretty terrible legacy. Since the show ended in 2007, the actors have had a rough time maintaining their notoriety. Rachel Bilson is no exception. Her most mainstream role since the series ended was as the female lead in Doug Liman's Jumper, and that was in 2008. But that doesn't mean she's giving up.

Variety reports that Bilson has joined the cast of BFF and Baby. The film stars Krysten Ritter and Kate Bosworth as best friends and when Ritter gets pregnant she relies on her friend, Bosworth, to help keep her life in order. The film is being directed by Kat Coiro based on a script by her and Ritter.

To be honest, I've always found Bilson to be a capable actress. I thought she was good in The Last Kiss and enjoyed her stint on How I Met Your Mother. Here's hoping that she can steer her career in the right direction and avoid becoming like Mischa Barton.
