Holy Hulk, There Are A Lot Of People On The Avengers: Infinity War Set
If you're remotely familiar with the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, then you likely know it boasts an enormous cast; without a doubt the biggest one for a Marvel movie yet. Hey, when Thanos threatens all of existence, you can expect that a lot of people will be involved. With so many actors also comes a lengthy shoot. Infinity War kicked off principal photography at the beginning of the year, but there's plenty of work to be done on the third Avengers movie, as evidenced by all the folks gathered together on the set in just one day. Holy Hulk indeed!
Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo posted this photo on their Instagram page, and although there's no way to tell who is packed into those trailers on set, it reaffirms just how star-studded this movie is going to be. 50 trailers equals a stacked production! It's also worth noting that just because Avengers: Infinity War has been shooting for over 60 days doesn't mean the Marvel work at Pinewood Studios in Georgia is almost finished. After Infinity War wraps up shooting either later this month or in July, work will immediately begin on 2019's Avengers 4, so the cast and crew will remain busy in the MCU until the end of the year. At least the actors have those fancy trailers to spend time in when they're not in front of the camera.
Despite all the groundwork that's been laid for Avengers: Infinity War, the exact plot of the movie remains shrouded in mystery. All we know for certain right now is that it will revolve around Thanos attempting to rewrite reality using the Infinity Stones. While the Avengers have been able to handle the likes of Loki, Ultron and their respective armies on their own, when the Mad Titan finally arrives to our planet, Earth's Mightiest Heroes will have to join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to prevent the purple-skinned throne enthusiast from achieving his goals. Most of the characters who've been announced for Infinity War are established characters, from A-listers like Iron Man and Captain America to newer additions like The Vision and Doctor Strange. But there are also a few new folks being thrown into the mix, like Peter Dinklage, who is rumored to be playing Pip the Troll, and Terry Notary, who is portraying one of Thanos' henchmen.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released in theaters on May 4, 2018. As we wait for more news on the Marvel blockbuster, check out our guide on what movies are being released throughout the rest of 2017, including Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 7 and Thor: Ragnarok on November 3.
