Watch Macaulay Culkin Wrestle Using Home Alone Tactics In A Christmas Match

The holidays are finally upon us, which means that it is now time to set our sights on some of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time. One such classic from the 1990s is Home Alone, which pitted Macaulay Culkin's Kevin McCallister against a set of dimwitted robbers using a series of complicated (yet somehow non-violent) traps. Those guerilla tactics have become absolutely beloved by fans in the years since Home Alone's initial debut, and Culkin recently donned the stage of a wrestling match to pay tribute to the family-friendly Die Hard. Check out the video below to see for yourself!

That might arguably be one of the best celebrity wrestling matches that we have seen since Arrow's Stephen Amell took the stage for SummerSlam against Cody Rhodes. Taking place at a Bar Wrestling event in Los Angeles, Macaulay Culkin was in attendance while the athletes sparred onstage. However, the Home Alone star eventually got in on the action by using the classic toy balls gag to trip up his opponents. Clearly intent on getting involved in a more active way, he then sprang into action and rigged up the legendary swinging-bucket trap to deliver a finishing move. Then crowd obviously ate it all up, and the entire event served as a pitch-perfect tribute to Culkin's arguably most iconic role as Kevin McCallister.

Of course, it is worth mentioning that for all of the great Home Alone references featured in this video, Macaulay Culkin still didn't get to recreate one of the simplest and most legendary anti-burglar tactics of them all: the tarantula to the face.

Home Alone Spider Daniel Stern Marv

However, even without that arachnophobia-inducing trap at his disposal, Macaulay Culkin still managed to deliver a phenomenal Home Alone tribute just in time for the holidays. It is a delightful homage that has our nostalgia glands pumping, and a wonderful reminder of the power that certain movies have to infiltrate our collective pop culture consciousness. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go dust off my personal copy of Home Alone ahead of next week's holiday.

To this very day, Home Alone obviously remains a Christmas classic than many families love to return to year after year. That said, if you are looking for more up-to-date information on films that are slated for the next year, you can take a look at the remainder of our 2017 movie premiere guide and our 2018 movie premiere guide.
