Check Out Anne Hathaway Reuniting With The Bat Pod

For decades, some have wondered where Batman gets "those wonderful toys" that he uses to battle Gotham City's worst villains. One of the coolest of the bunch was The Bat Pod, which debuted in The Dark Knight before being handed over to Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) in The Dark Knight Rises. It's been a while since we have seen Hathaway near that iconic motorcycle, but the actress recently made a trip to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles to reunite with it. Check out a photo of the visit, below.

In true Selina Kyle fashion, Anne Hathaway seems to be playing it cool in that picture. Taking an incognito selfie with the bike, it's pretty clear that she still knows how to play it sneaky and keep a low profile. That said, if the actual Selina Kyle was in the museum, we could rest assured knowing that The Bat Pod wouldn't stay parked for very long.

Of course, while Anne Hathaway's picture seems to suggest that she wasn't allowed to actually get on the bike (it's still a museum, remember?), we can always look back fondly on all of the badass scenes that she got on The Bat Pod in The Dark Knight Rises. After all, Selina Kyle got to ride around on that thing for most of the film's third act, and she even got to take out Bane (Tom Hardy) before he could kill The Caped Crusader.

Now that Anne Hathaway has turned over her keys to The Bat Pod and her skin-tight leather outfit, this means that the DCEU will eventually have to crown its first Selina Kyle. The character hasn't officially appeared yet in the DC Extended Universe, though Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice did tease femme fatales that had crossed paths with Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) in the past.

Moreover, with a Birds of Prey movie on the horizon (which will reportedly feature the Gotham City Sirens team), it would make sense to assume that DC and Warner Bros. have at least thought about finding someone to replace Hathaway as Catwoman. Replacing an actress who's so connected to the role will obviously be a massive undertaking, but that's also what some said when Anne Hathaway stepped in to replace Michelle Pfeiffer. In the end, she made it her own, and our hope remains high that the next actress can do the same.

CinemaBlend will bring you all of the latest and greatest DC news as it breaks online, so make sure to stay tuned for more updates. As for Anne Hathaway, her experience in the world of thieves isn't over yet, as she will appear in Ocean's 8 when the female-driven heist reboot premieres in theaters later this year on June 8.
