Why A Young Leonardo DiCaprio Was Apparently Kicked Out Of Disney World
One of the big American dreams is to be rich and famous. After all, who doesn't want endless amount of money and the ability to live a relatively consequence free life? A popular way to achieve this type of lifestyle is to become a highly successful actor in Hollywood. Of course, fame and fortune can often corrupt those who have it, especially if they achieve notoriety at a young age. This is apparently exactly what happened to Oscar winner (finally) Leonardo DiCaprio in his youth. While there have already been a handful of young Leo stories, a new one has just come to light, and it involves the happiest place on Earth.
An online source opened up claiming he had spent time as a lifeguard in one of Disney's fancier resorts from 1998-2001. This individual has a few embarrassing stories from 90's celebrities, one of which revolves around a young Leonardo DiCaprio behaving very poorly. The alleged story is as follows.
Damn, Leo. That's some reckless behavior from a young star. Drunken disorder is one thing, but nudity in a public and family-oriented place is something else entirely.
This story, which comes to us from Uproxx, might seem a bit far fetched, but the alleged lifeguard has a surprising amount of details which makes it seem like he may not be making it up. In particular, he goes into some detail regarding the slide that Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly ruined with his antics. The slide, and pool, are both from Disney's Beach Club and Resort.
The slide is the Stormalong Bay Slide which is built to resemble a giant pirate ship. The main slide is rather high up, so a lifeguard is usually stationed at the entrance in order to ensure proper timing between uses. If this story is to be believed, we can assume that the lifeguard in question was right next to Leo as he drunkenly went down the slide with the spiked belt in question.
Team Leo has yet to comment on the allegations and probably never will. Leonardo DiCaprio is a grown man at this point, and has clearly strived to project and air of professionalism and grace in his later years. This is just a reminder that, while their behavior is poor at the time, young stars can really turn it around and become respectable members of society. We're looking at you Biebs.
