Watch Countess Luann De Lesseps Joke About Her Arrest And Time In Jail
Luann de Lesseps is back. The reality TV star from The Real Housewives of New York, better known as "The Countess," recently spent some time locked up. But she's no longer behind bars, and she's here to talk about it. During a recent event in the Big Apple, The Countess gave jail advice to a crowd. The response was filmed and put on social media shortly after, for fans everywhere to see. You can check out the funny Instagram video below.
The footage was taken during Luann de Lesseps's #CountessAndFriends cabaret show on Tuesday night, taking place at Feinstein's 54 Below in Manhattan. If you ever end up in jail, heed The Countess's advice: memorize three phone numbers you would call from behind bars. Because as soon as de Lesseps found herself in the joint, sitting on a freezing bench and staring at a pay phone, she realized something: she didn't know anyone's number. Reportedly the number she did know was one she had no intentions of dialing. Take that advice however you will.
The Bravo television star was arrested in December in Palm Beach, Florida for disorderly intoxication. The Countess got physical on Christmas Eve with a first responder during her inebriated state. It's worth pointing out that it was also only months after she split up with her husband, Tom D'Agostino. So things weren't going great for the TV star during that time, possibly explaining her behavior. Luann considered herself "truly embarrassed" by the whole drunken situation, and she claimed on Twitter that she was seeking "professional guidance", and that she'd voluntarily enter a rehab center. An update on Luann de Lesseps's current condition was given by her Real Housewives of New York co-star Bethenny Frankel only a couple weeks ago.
Based on Luann de Lesseps's recent response, it appears that the Real housewife has a good sense of humor about the situation, at the very least. 2017 didn't shape up to be her year, but she appears confident and reinvigorated at the start of 2018. That's comforting to see. Here's hoping things go at least a little smoother for the troubled for the 52-year-old Real Housewives of New York star. The last thing she needs right now is more trouble.
