Jenelle Evans' Husband David Eason Charged After Posting Video Illegally Towing Car
David Eason, the husband of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, has found himself in quite a bit of trouble at the tail-end of 2018. As it's being reported, the reality TV personality has allegedly been hit with criminal charges of vehicle tampering and causing injury to personal property. This news comes out only a few days after Eason made a video of himself towing another person's truck. It will clearly be an eventful end-of-the-year for David Eason.
Here's what we know about the perplexing and rather unusual legal situation for David Eason. The criminal charges were allegedly issued on Sunday by Wilmington, North Carolina's police department, as it was later reported by People. According to the summons, the incident-in-question occurred in the summer, around June 13th, although the video didn't hit the web until December. David Eason posted this video on his personal YouTube account.
You can check out the video of David Eason towing another person's truck, entitled "BLOCKED IN PARKING SPOT!," below. It has evidently gotten the husband of the reality television star in more than a bit of trouble. It's unclear if Jenelle Evans will get in any legal fiascos due to this particular video. It's believed Evans can be heard in the background, seemingly filming the whole towing exchange, all while talking and chuckling in the process.
The damning video, which has been viewed over 55,000 times since being made public (and as of this reporting), is barely a minute long, but it is clear that David Eason is putting the tow on the back of the person's truck (though the license plate of the vehicle was intentionally blocked out) and illegally moving the stranger's car. The reality TV couple seems to be moving the truck because the meter has expired and it's in their way, and they appear gleeful to move it since it's a nuance for them to deal with. Because they moved the truck, David Eason put himself above the state law.
In addition to the video he posted, David Eason wrote the following caption about the encounter, which helps explain why he did it in the first place. While it does bring us some idea as to why he took the action that he did, it will likely not help Eason's legal case -- especially when it picks up in earnest in January.
It's unclear what the legal repercussions will be for David Eason. He is expected to appear before the court on January 28th. Details will arise then.
Additionally, this is not the only roadside controversy that has befallen the Teen Mom 2 couple. Jenelle Evans also got some heat for pulling out her gun next to her young child during a road rage incident. The footage (minus the part with the gun) was shown on the MTV show, which got some attention.
