Britney Spears' Original Work Bitch Video Was Far Racier
Britney Spears recently released the music video for her new single “Work Bitch,” which features the pop singer in a variety of costumes, some more sexy and slinky than others. The 31-year-old, who happens to also be a mom of two, looks pretty sexy in the video, but she said the initial cut for “Work Bitch” was even wilder and she had to put her foot down and ask the director to scale back.
Brit Brit’s never been particularly shy about pushing up her breasts and baring her belly, but the veteran pop star recently told Boston news station Amp 103.3 that the stuff they shot for the “Work Bitch” video was far racier and made her a little uncomfortable.
Spears may have had a reputation as a wild child in the past, but she mostly seems to have gotten her act together in recent years. She currently has an as-yet untitled eighth studio album in the works, she’s set to premiere a brand new show in Las Vegas at the end of December, and she recently put together a song with Miley Cyrus for the 20-year-old’s new album BANGERZ. She seems as if she's more in control of her career at this point, but she’s also under a conservatorship, and there are a lot of people surrounding her that are constantly pushing her out of her comfort zone. While that can be a good thing, in the case of the “Work Bitch” video, it seems Spears would rather have tried something else.
Jamie Spears and Britney’s manager were quick to assure TMZ that Spears does make the creative decisions.
Spears is both a pop star and a sex symbol and there’s probably some expectation from those involved with her career that she will continue to maintain that image, at least for a while. Maybe since she’s being a little more outspoken with her creative thoughts her team will let her do a more fun video, a la “I Wanna Go,” next time around. What do you think of the “Work Bitch” video?
