Do You Think Less Of Jason Aldean For Pulling The Plug On His Marriage?

Fans might not be surprised when rock stars cheat on their girlfriend or wives, but in country music, the value system is a little bit different. Fans tend to support musicians they admire and look up to, which is probably why a ton of Jason Aldean fans went nuts after the singer was caught making out with former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr inside a club on the Sunset Strip last year.

The crooner came out and apologized after his poor decision was made public, and he and his high school sweetheart wife Jessica Ussery vowed to try and make it work. They allegedly went to counseling, and they were even spotted together during a red carpet appearance after the cheating fiasco. Unfortunately, some of the problems never really went away and Aldean slapped his wife with the big ugly divorce papers last week.

On the one hand, some fans have been waiting for this relationship to end since the moment he was caught cheating. That group isn’t particularly surprised by today’s announcement, and many are confused about why it didn’t happen sooner. On the other hand, there’s an entirely different group of Aldean fans that think the singer owed it to his wife and his two little girls to work non-stop to fix the mess he caused. Giving up after a matter of months on a relationship that’s decades old isn’t exactly the definition of sticktuitveness.

How do you feel? Do you think less of Aldean for pulling the plug on his marriage? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
