Drugs May Have Played Role In Leslie Carter's Death

A little over a day ago, reality television personality and aspiring singer Leslie Carter was found unconscious by family members. Authorities rushed to the scene, but by the time they arrived, nothing could be done. The twenty-five year old was pronounced dead shortly thereafter, and her family released a statement asking for privacy. Beyond that, not very much information was made public, but in the past few hours, some disturbing whispers have started making the rounds.

According to TMZ, Leslie had been battling a very serious prescription drug addiction for some time. Her condition was so bad she apparently even moved back to New York to be with the family. The Carter’s reportedly did their best to remove pills from the house, but they stepped away for a few hours on Tuesday and by the time they returned, it was all over.

Obviously, toxicology reports won’t be back for over a month, but regardless of what they prove, Pop Blend’s sympathies go out to the entire family. Leslie Carter first rose to prominence in the early 2000s when one of her songs, “Like Wow”, found its way onto the Shrek soundtrack. Her brothers Nick and Aaron achieved great success in the music business, but unfortunately, her singing career never really materialized. She got married in 2008 and had a daughter a few years later.

Losing someone so young, whatever the circumstances might be, is always a great blow. There will be time to ask questions later, but for now, it’s best to just remember the positives about a woman who was beloved by her family.
