Are George Clooney And Stacy Keibler Actually Done?
George Clooney and Stacy Keibler are having serious problems. Depending on which of the litany of “unnamed sources” close to the couple you’d like to believe, they’ve either officially called off their more than two year relationship or they’re still living together but rapidly spiraling toward splitsville. Regardless, all is not well in the Clooney household, and the problems are either about time, children or both.
As with everything else about this slow motion break-up, the sources are split about what the impetus behind the issues actually is . People points to her desire to have children. TMZ says it’s an issue of time. More than likely, it’s a combination of both. They haven’t been photographed together in public since March, which isn’t surprising given her new Lifetime supermarket invention show and his always busy career as the world’s most dashing actor. Obviously, success is a good thing, but when it constantly puts the people involved in different cities and on different life paths, it can be a profoundly negative thing for a relationship.
I’ll be honest. I went into this Clooney and Keibler relationship with a she-has-no-idea-what-she’s-in-for grin. I thought he would chew her up and spit her back out within a year or so and be on to his next extended fling, but there’s something about the two that really did work. She’s reportedly the type of girl who is a homerun at dinner parties, a social butterfly who can easily mingle in a wide range of circles, and that quality is exactly what he needs in a woman. They were also both more than willing to let the other shine during the moments they were supposed to shine, and he never once demeaned or looked down on her former career as a professional wrestler. In fact, they both seemed to genuinely love everything about the other.
That’s why, on the one hand, I’m not really sure they’re actually done. She apparently still hasn’t moved out and since everyone agrees there’s no animosity, part of me thinks they may just need to spend a little time together and part of me thinks she may even decide to choose him over having babies or (gasp) he may choose having babies over losing her. On the other hand, however, it’s unlikely their hectic schedules are going to lighten up any time soon. Both of them seem to be poised for popularity moving forward, and if there really is a rift over whether or not to procreate, there’s no good way to ever solve that. The last thing you want to do to a man is force children he doesn’t want on him.
